SUPIMA AT PARIS FASHION WEEK: SS16
Paris Fashion Week is always the most spectacular fashion weeks of all! This season at Paris Fashion Week Supima designers show cased looks that were classy and classic, pieces that one could imagine keeping for a lifetime.
The designers showcased their looks at the Élysée Palace, which has been the official residence of the President of the French Republic since 1848.
The hair for Supima was very chic, we opted to create various looks for Paris Fashion Week. Lead by hairstylist Jon Reyman of Spoke and Weal Salon, we created looks such as sleek Samurai Knots and Rope Braided Headband hairstyles, and some of the models were also seen with a tease of messy rolls and braided buns.

This was my third show with Supima, I have had the privilege of working backstage at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week SS15, SS16, and honored to work their SS16 showcasing in Paris, France. FASHION ALERT: SKINGRAFT SPRING/SUMMER 2016 NYFW
Skingraft designers Jonny and Christopher Cota, two brothers who represent the new avant-garde of America, find their inspiration through art-inspired performances and fashion. Subcultures dominate cuts, fabric choices and color palettes in a dark, body-conscious manner.
For Spring Summer 2016, Skingraft was inspired by the nomadic wandering through the Mojave Desert and radical self-reliance.
A color palette of mainly black along with other monochromatic shades (think browns and greys) keeps the brand’s aesthetic and cool factor in place. Leather pieces served as body armor – harnesses were certainly a high point, and created a stark contrast against sheer silks and cottons.
For women, dresses and tunics were long and beautiful, however the highlight was a gray-purple colored hooded knit teamed with shorts layered over leggings.
For men, tailored pieces that included belting was the ‘it’ piece. The Cotas took us on a quest, however this time around, the journey is indeed the destination

HAIR SPOTLIGHT: IDAN COHEN AT NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
From dazzling dresses to jeweled short jumper sets, here are the designs seen at New York Fashion Weeks Spring/ Summer 16 Runway Show by Idan Cohen.
These sexy and effortless silhouettes are sure to be a trend this spring.
HAIR SPOTLIGHT:
The hair for Idan Cohen was very sexy and effortless loose waves. Think Bettie Page meets Farrah Fawcett.
The Hero Product: To create this look, we used Aveda’s Pure Abundance Style Prep to slightly enhance to the texture of the hair. We then used Aveda’s Control Force Hairspray, 1” Marcel Curling iron, wrapping the hair around the barrel with a slight twist. Brushing the curls out with a Mason Pearson Brush and Shaping the hair into soft loose waves. Finishing the look with Control force to provide hold to the curls as the models walk the runway of Idan Cohen’s show.
